CR Coffee Shop is three things at once. It's a neighborhood coffee shop with four locations across New Orleans. It's a small-batch roastery operating antique 1910s Royal No. 6 drum roasters on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, one of the only roasters in the country still using century-old equipment. And it's an online coffee brand shipping fresh-roasted beans nationwide. Founded in 2015 by Kevin Pedeaux at St. Roch Market, CR Coffee exclusively serves Coast Roast Coffee, the roasting company Kevin co-founded in 2009.

CR Coffee's pair of 1910s Royal No. 6 drum roasters spin slowly, letting sugars caramelize naturally before beans get oily. The result is a sweeter, smoother cup without the bitterness. All green beans are sourced through the Port of New Orleans (the second-largest coffee port in the United States) and through direct farm relationships in Central and South America.
