Magazine Street Flagship Is Officially Open

← Back to News

3618 Magazine Street opened its doors in the Garden District, and CR Coffee's second location was officially in business. The restored Victorian shotgun house features indoor seating with an original fireplace, a courtyard patio with willow trees and string lights, and the Crescent Room — a private meeting and event space.

The location quickly became a neighborhood fixture. The patio in particular drew people in: it is one of the few true courtyard spaces on the commercial stretch of Magazine Street. Dog-friendly, shaded, and away from the street — it is a different kind of coffee experience than the stall at St. Roch Market.

The fireplace room anchors the main indoor seating area. The original mantels and Victorian details were preserved during the renovation, giving the shop a warmth and character that matches the Garden District aesthetic.

Opening a second location was a big step from the single stall at St. Roch Market. But the pop-up the previous winters had proven the demand, and the Magazine Street community showed up from day one. The flagship was open seven days a week, and Coast Roast coffee had a new home in Uptown New Orleans.
